At the meeting of HWC Council held on 15 June 2016, a number of items were discussed that will impact on the current HWC process. Please be informed of the following changes in the HWC Process that will be implemented from 1 July 2016:

1. New application forms for section 34, 35 and 27 of the NHRA were approved by HWC Council (please see attached)

These forms will be available on the HWC Website from 1 July 2016.

2. New deadline for BELCom submissions

The two week deadline for applications received to be tabled at BELCom allows for insufficient time for the Heritage Officers to process an application adequately. As such, the HWC Council has agreed that the agenda for BELCom items will now close three weeks prior to a BELCom meeting. Therefore;
- The agenda closes on 6 July for the BELCom meeting scheduled for 27 July
- The agenda closes on 10 August for the BELCom meeting scheduled for 31 August
- The agenda closes on 7 September for the BELCom meeting scheduled for 28 September
- The agenda closes on 5 October for the BELCom meeting scheduled for 26 October
- The agenda closes on 2 November for the BELCom meeting scheduled for 23 November
- The agenda closes on 23 November for the BELCom meeting scheduled for 14 December

3. Revised Fee Structure implemented

As per the notice circulated in May 2015 (attached), the revised application fee structure will be implemented from 1 July 2016.
