Reasons for Site Inspection:
As per out request from Archaeological, Paleontology and Meteorite Committee, HWC Officials must conduct a site inspection and advise archaeologists on the methodology of the archaeological mitigation required by HWC. HWC visited the proposed area to determine the scope of work as the officials were in Paternoster on another site inspection.
Findings of Site Inspection:
HWC Officials noted that the proposed approved archaeological mitigation has not started on site and determined that the proposed scope of work will have an impact on the Paternoster Megamidden. HWC Officials noted that there it is highly likely that archaeological material and remains will be found during the mitigation process.
Recommended Action:
HWC Officials will return to the site once the appointed archaeological team starts the mitigation process on site as requested by the Committee.
